St. Vincent de Paul Society
The St. Vincent de Paul Society promotes peace and justice for the entire parish family. They answer the call for help from many sources such as Father Tasto in Tijuana, Fr. Gratian in El Salvador, Fr. John Barth in Cambodia, disaster victims from around the country and the world, and the less fortunate in several parishes in San Diego, as well as our own parishioners in need of financial help.
Volunteers make daily pickups from eight supermarkets for delivery to needy families, several San Diego parishes, the St. Vincent de Paul Soup Kitchens, Nazareth House, North County Interfaith Center, and St. Clare Homes. It is estimated that throughout the year, the volunteers distribute over 500,000 pounds of food.
Help is made possible through the generous spiritual, financial, and material support given by the volunteers and parishioners of St. Michael Parish. For more information or to volunteer to help, please call the Parish Office at 487-4755.
