The Legion of Mary is a worldwide organization of Catholic men and women who wish to grow in holiness and live out their baptismal call to spread the Reign of Christ.
Legionaries balance prayer with apostolic work, performed in union with Mary, Mother of the Church. We assist our pastor in ministering to the Mystical Body of Christ by performing various acts of service, including: visiting the sick and homebound, conducting Communion Services in nursing homes, detention ministry, teaching religious education, and distributing Catholic literature.
Active Legionaries attend a weekly meeting to pray, discuss, and share work reports. There are two adult Legion of Mary groups at St. Michael’s. Both meet on Wednesdays in the Ministry Center: one in the morning after the 7:30 a.m. Mass, the other in the evening at 6:30 p.m.
Guests or inquiring new members are always welcome to attend a meeting! We have a “trial period” so you can get to know what we’re all about before you decide if you’d like to join.

The Junior Legion of Mary is for children and teens ages 7-17. It meets on Mondays at 4:00 p.m. in the Ministry Center (except during the summer months when they meet at 9:30 a.m.)
For those unable to attend a weekly meeting or participate in apostolic works, please inquire about our Auxiliary membership. These members commit to praying daily for the intentions of Our Blessed Mother, bringing vital graces to the works of the Legion.
